Serves 4
Sweat off the onions, garlic and carrots in a pan and cook until soft.
Add the bacon and lentils for a further few minutes.
Add enough water to cover.
Dice the ham hock into cubes and cook for a further 20 mins.
Blitz the mixture until your liking and finish off with salt and pepper to season (optional).
Serve up with some warm crusty bread!
