Serves 4
Brown the mince. Add diced onion, garlic, dry basil, oregano and mix.
Add the red wine and reduce the heat. Add salt and pepper to season. Add chopped tomatoes and kidney beans.
Cook long and slow for approx 2 hours. Check seasoning at the end and add more if required.
Shallow fry, cook in the oven or grill on a medium heat, turning occasionally for approximately 8 minutes. Ensure piping hot throughout before serving.
Add chilli con carne and your choice of toppings.
